The love story between Amber and Liam is so sweet and sexy I was shocked, especially with this type of book. From the start it is a little tough to listen to as it starts out with eight year old Amber and her ten year old brother Jake, revealing the horor of the abuse they suffered via their very Loathsome father. Anyway, good story, good characters and recommended to all semi-YA/adult readers who enjoy a little heartache mixed with their romance. The story follows the relationship between the two love birds and how Amber struggle to fight her past demons. After that night, Liam has constantly been sneaking into Amber's bedroom to sleep with her. Liam is the neighbor boy & Amber's brothers best friend. When she was eight years old, Liam saw Amber crying and sneaked into her bedroom to comfort her.
This story follows Amber, a teenager who suffered severe child abuse when she was young. It dives into some really uncomfortable & devastating subject matter. This book will drag some strong emotions out of you. Please don't misunderstand the book does have a really sweet love story, but it's so much more than that.
This is not a typical high school romance. The Boy Who Sneaks in my Bedroom Window is a love story held by an undertone of darkness. Semi YA/adult romance with dark undertone
